Our Process – From Quotation to Certification

At Master Glass Builder, we take pride in delivering a clear, thorough, and professional process — from initial enquiry to final certification. 01

Quotation & Quantity Surveying

Every project begins with a detailed quantity survey based on supplied architectural drawings, tender documents, or site photographs. Our estimating team prepares:

  • A Bill of Quantities (BOQ) broken down by building areas, product types, and quantities
  • Marked-up drawings to confirm the extent of works and verify all balustrade and handrail zones
  • A detailed quotation that outlines the proposed product selections, finishes, compliance inclusions, and scope clarifications

This quotation ensures our clients have a clear understanding of product specifications, quantities, and exclusions before proceeding.

Quotation Approval

To proceed with works, clients provide one of the following:

  • Formal instruction to proceed
  • Signed quotation
  • Letter of intent (LOI)
  • Work order or construction contract

Once approval is received, we lock in your project and allocate internal resources for scheduling, drafting, and delivery.

Site Measure Booking

Our project team will contact the site supervisor or builder to schedule a site measure. This is coordinated to occur after structural works are complete and before internal finishes that affect balustrade fixings are installed.

Onsite Measure

We conduct a precise onsite measure using laser tools and digital documentation. This ensures:

  • Millimetre-accurate dimensions
  • Confirmation of fixing points, setdowns, slab edges, and wall alignments
  • Capture of site-specific variables that affect fabrication & installation and methodology

Shop Drawing Submission

Following site measure, our drafting team prepares comprehensive shop drawings, which include:

  • CAD layout plans and elevations
  • Setout and installation drawings
  • Fabrication and part drawings for brackets, posts, panels, and fixings
  • Finish schedules confirming colour, materials, and specifications

These drawings are submitted for client, architect, or builder review and approval before fabrication begins.
